New York Rangers defeat Pittsburgh Penguins with dramatic OT winner

Published Add your comment

The New York Rangers topped the Pittsburgh Penguins in game one of their second round play-off series thanks to an overtime winner from Derick Brassard.

The Rangers had raced into a 2-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals from Benoit Pouliot and Brad Richards.

But the Penguins wiped out their lead- all be it somewhat controversially after Lee Stempniak and James Neal provided the equalizer.

As the game went to overtime it took less than four minutes for the Rangers to find their winning goal and claim a shocking victory in Pittsburgh.
