It has been almost three months since CM Punk left WWE and despite many fans of the WWE universe clamouring to have their star back, a former star knows exactly how he feels.
Chris Jericho, who himself left the WWE in 2005 has spoken out in an interview about his views on Punk's farewell.
‘I don’t know’, but I just know how I was when I did the same thing. It took a long time for me to be able to come back, and I was probably the same age as Punk is now too, so maybe he’s going through the same thing and after a few years he’ll come back,” Jericho told Digital Spy recently.
Punk left WWE in January of this year after the Royal Rumble and Vince McMahon has gone on record to say that the wrester had gone on sabbatical.
It doesn't appear that CM Punk will be returning to WWE anytime soon and the powers that be within the company have planned for life without him.
The McMahon family brought back Hulk Hogan, the Rock and Stone Cold for Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans and the show was considered a great success.
In lieu of Jericho's comments, it appears that fans in the WWE universe may also have to prepare for life without CM Punk for quite some time.
