Real Madrid are considering a move for Arsenal star Laurent Koscielny as Carlo Ancelotti aims to bolster his defence this summer, according to reports.
Having been a key part of Arsene Wenger’s squad this year, French newspaper Le 10 Sport, citing Spanish publication AS, claims that Koscielny has done enough to convince Madrid that he would be an ideal addition to the Bernabeu, and they could partner him up with Sergio Ramos. It’s thought that Ancelotti isn’t convinced by Pepe, and is keen on strengthening his back line providing he’s still in the job past the summer.
Coincidentally a number of other top teams also have Koscielny on their radars, and the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have been credited with interest recently. Arsene Wenger is sure to want to keep him though, and so it will most likely take a hefty transfer fee for him to even consider a sale.
As for the defender’s personal plans, as of yet he's offered no inclination that he would be looking to seek a move away from the Emirates. This season has showcased by far his most impressive campaign in an Arsenal shirt, but the lights of the Spanish capital, and the subsequent virtual promise of success could be enough to sway his mind in favour of leaving north London.
