LeBron James is ready to hand over the title of MVP...at least for the regular season.
James expects Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant to win his first league MVP award, and thinks its the right decision.
"Much respect to him and he deserves it," James said.
"He had a big-time MVP season."
James has been the MVP of the NBA each of the past two seasons, and has won the award four of the last five years.
Durant averaged 32.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game this season, and was the first player other than LeBron James to lead the NBA in Player Efficiency Rating, since 2007.
The only two players, other than James, to have led the NBA in PER in six consecutive seasons are Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain.
