AJ McCarron denied wife-to-be a reality TV series

AJ McCarron is about to learn his NFL fate this week as the draft starts on Thursday, and it seems he's all about professionalism as the big day comes.

McCarron had the opportunity to take part in a reality TV series with his wife-to-be and former Miss Alabama 2012, Katherine Webb, but he declined the chance because of football commitments.

Quite a lot was made of the fact that McCarron and Webb will be part of a TV episode about their wedding, but as the former Alabama quarterback explains, it will be Webb who will appear as the main character.

In an interview with the Guardian, he insisted that he didn't want anything to do with a reality series of a longer variety because of his desire to make a success of his time in the NFL.

"I think it's funny nowadays that whatever comes out, everybody seems to believe it. Yes, our wedding is being shopped around right now because a producing company came to me and Katherine and asked if we wanted to do a reality show," McCarron revealed to the Guardian.

"I told them I didn't want to be a part of that so then they talked about putting the wedding on and I said: 'That's great as long as I am not a main character, because I want to focus on football.'"

At the end of the day it will be football that will define McCarron's success, and he feels that he's the most prepared out of all of the QB's available.

He believes that he is more suited and ready for the NFL compared with other top QB's such as Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles.

“I am the most NFL-ready quarterback in this draft. That is not knocking those other guys; it is just the confidence I carry in myself. I feel like I can go to any organization," he added.
