As Louis van Gaal looks set to be unveiled as Manchester United's new manager, the Holland head coach is understood to have already identified FIVE summer transfer targets that he wants to bring to Old Trafford this summer.

According to the Daily Star, the 62-year-old will be handed a £200million war chest to overhaul the Red Devils' first-team squad ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

Despite the fact that the impending announcement could be delayed until next week, Van Gaal is busy assessing possible acquisitions before turning attention to preparations for the forthcoming World Cup Brazil.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss will honour his contract with the Dutch FA and oversee the Netherlands' World Cup campaign before arriving at Manchester United in time for pre-season.

However, that hasn't stopped him sounding out potential recruits, with a number of high-profile acquisitions already in Van Gaal's sights that will excite Manchester United fans that have been forced to endure a disastrous 2013/14 campaign.
