Eight MLS stars who could be heading to the Brazil World Cup

Major League Soccer has taken huge strides in recent years in its aim to become one of the world's elite league, and that's involved importing foreign talent as well as bringing the stars of the United States national team back to their homeland.

It may have previously been a division that was seen as a final pay-day for Europe's ageing stars, but ambitious investors have seen the MLS become a genuine potential destination for the planet's finest international footballers.

This means that while there is a busy league schedule over the next three months, some of the nation's top players will be jetting off for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Their club's may resent letting them go, but these men will be crucial to their respective countries' hopes of going all the way to the final in Rio de Janeiro, and lifting the famous Jules Rimet Trophy.
