Inter Milan have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, according to reports in France.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid are expected to splash the cash in the summer on a new striker.
Benzema, who has started the majority of Real Madrid's games in a three-pronged attack alongside Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, could be moved on in order to accommodate either Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero.
Real Madrid will have to recuperate some of the money they plan to spend on signing a top-class striker.
The La Liga giants will be able to ascertain a significant fee for Benzema - thought to be around the £25million mark - as he is attracting interest from a number of top European sides.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is known to be a long-term admirer of Benzema and will be in the market for a striker to play alongside Olivier Giroud next season.
However Wenger will face serious competition from Inter Milan if he was to land his fellow countryman.
Inter Milan president Erick Thohir is planning to reshuffle his struggling side in the summer as the San Siro giants are 39 points off Serie A champions Juventus.
