In the first pay-per-view event after Wrestlemania, Extreme Rules, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan moved on from his feud with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and the authority, facing up against Kane.
The match was a throwback to the Attitude Era with backstage forklift action and Kane being put through a table that was set on fire. Bryan took the win but Kane sat up after and stared down his man.
The two are set to go at it again at the next pay-per-view which will be Payback after being pitted against one another in segments on this week’s Raw, and according to PWInsider, the two will face off in a Buried Alive match for Bryan’s WWE World Heavyweight Title.
(Potential spoilers from here on in)
Following this, rumours from Wrestling Inc have suggested that Kane will lose this match and lave the company for a period of time. Apparently he would be gone for a few months and then possibly make a return to promote See No Evil 2, a WWE Studios promotion.
While all this is completely feasible, there are no other reports around that are mentioning something similar.
But a Buried Alive match would be greatly accepted by fans as the whole Attitude Era throwback stuff would carry on.
