Extreme Rules was only last weekend but already we are looking forward to the next pay-per-view, which is in just three weeks.
Payback is one of two pay-per-views in June with Money in the Bank rounding off the month. But the fifth special event of the year is already taking shape just days after Extreme Rules.
Monday on Raw saw Evolution and The Shield continue their feud from weeks before following The Shield's win it seems WWE are thinking of continuing the rivalry and now that Batista looks to be staying with the company until Payback it looks like there will be a series of singles matches instead of the one big six-man tag match that happened Sunday night.
As well as this Daniel Bryan and Kane also reignited their feud, as the monster continued to stalk Daniel and his new wife Brie, rumours suggest that the two will be facing off in a Buried Alive match at next months pay-per-view after Batista turned down the opportunity at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship because it wouldn't look good with him losing to a guy smaller than him as he goes off to promote his new film "Guardians of the Galaxy."
It is also suggested that Kane is set to take some time off after Payback as well as he is set to promote his own film See No Evil 2, which means that this could be the definitive ending to Daniel and Kane's feud so someone else will be challenging for the title heading into the summer series of pay-per-views.
John Cena and Bray Wyatt are also retaining their feud after Little Johnny cost Cena the win inside the steel cage on Sunday. John was on Main Event last night and it seems WWE are building towards a rematch between these two as well as Bray's popularity continues to grow and Cena continues to hint at a heel turn.
The good news to come out of WWE is that the US Title may finally be on the line as Sheamus defends his newly worn piece of gold. As well as plans for the Cody v Goldust match that was set to take place at Wrestlemania, may finally come into fruition. It seems there will be a bigger feud between the two than just one match and it will see Cody as the face and Goldust as the heel, but there is no word yet on whether this will be before or after Payback.
