Manchester United are set to bid for Borussia Dortmund playmaker Marco Reus in the coming days, according to The Daily Mail

If reports are to be believed, the Dortmund ace - who has played an integral role for his side in recent years - is wanted at the Theatre of Dreams.

And this latest suggestion has come about despite the club currently being without a permanent manager. Many indications have pointed towards Louis van Gaal taking over at Manchester United, and it appears that the club are ready to add to their squad this summer.

This season has proved disastrous for the Premier League champions, with the club set to miss out on European qualification. However a number of signings - with the addition of a new manager - could lift the spirits around the club before the start of next season.

Manchester United will certainly be hoping for progress in the up coming market, and the addition of Reus would certainly excite fans.

The German star is one of the leading talents in world football, and has created and scored a number of goals for Jurgen Klopp's side throughout the campaign.

If Manchester United can secure the signing of the ace, then fans may be handed a glimpse of him at this summer's World Cup after he was included in Germany's 30-man preliminary squad.
