Bayern Munich winger Xhedran Shaqiri has confirmed he wants to stay at the Allianz Arena for another season despite interest from Liverpool.
The Swiss international has been linked with a move to Anfield after a campaign on the fringes of Pep Guardiola's first-team.
But, as reported by Bild Sport in Germany, Shaqiri said he is not interested in leaving Bayern Munich this summer at a sponsors event this week.
The report claims when asked where he will be playing his football next season, the Switzerland midfielder said: "Still at Bayern Munich."
After a frustrating season, Shaqiri has been linked with a number of Champions League calibre clubs, including Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
He's currently suffering with a muscular injury, and he has only made 10 Bundesliga starts this season. But he's contributed to the title-winning campaign, chipping in with six goals from 17 appearances and two assists.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will be keen to strengthen his squad heading into a Champions League campaign next term.
He has tried and failed in recent transfer windows to bring in another attacking midfielder, with Mohamed Salah, Willian and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all linked to Liverpool before opting to move elsewhere.
