Blake Bortles has been selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars becoming the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The former University of Central Florida quarterback saw his draft stock rise in recent months after an impressive year with the Knights which culminated in the signal-caller leading his school to a shock Fiesta Bowl victory over Baylor in January.
Bortles enjoyed three successful years in Central Florida but was not considered one of the top QB prospects until early in 2014.
Playing in 36 games Bortles threw for 7,598 yards, 56 touchdowns and 19 interceptions, completing 66.2 percent of his throws before electing to bypass his senior year and declare for the NFL.
The 6' 5", 232 pound quarterback had by far his most productive season in 2013, throwing for 3,581 yards and 25 touchdowns and will be looking to put hims impressive physical skill set to use in the pros.
Bortles cemented his position as a top 5 pick with a solid Combine performance earlier this year, a display which clearly impressed the Jacksonville Jaguars.
