The selection of quarterback Johnny Manziel has been greeted around the internet with "Hope for Cleveland" cries as the Browns now have their face of the franchise in Johnny Football.

Perennial laughingstock of the league, much like the film 'Draft Day' the Cleveland Browns have made a splash in this years draft and it may be the bold move that turns them into a Super Bowl contender.

Manziel makes the 'Dawg Pound' a platform for an incredible football show and the Browns have become instantly watchable, but more importantly for Cleveland natives is that the Ex-Aggie may give them hope for a post season future.

The Browns last two playoff trips have been in 2002 and 1994, the fan base is starved of success and it finally has a beacon of hope with their ignited offence, behind the arm of Manziel and the hands of Josh Gordon.

Cleveland has a playoff-ready defence, their strength is built behind the depth of their strong defensive line and have just paired 1st round draft pick Justin Gilbert with star cornerback Joe Haden in the secondary, further bolstering a mean group lead by new defensive coach Mike Pettine.

Cleveland possess two pro-bowlers in their offensive line (Alex Mack and Joe Thomas) whilst have long term pieces to build around in Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron. Manziel steps into an offence stacked with targets for him to aim for.

Cleveland along with Arizona are believed to be among the few teams in the NFL that if they were to add a franchise calibre quarterback to their ranks then they would have a legitimate shot at going deep into the playoffs, Manziel has been drafted and it is time for him to prove that he is just that.

The fall to 22nd pick may be to the benefit of Johnny Football, an already incredibly competitive character will now feel a chip on his shoulder, remembering every team that passed on him throughout the draft and fuelling the fire he holds within, bare in mind Manziel will face 13 teams who overlooked him in the draft in the 2014/15 NFL season.

For the first time in a very long time, the Browns have something to shout about it and find themselves in a very enviable position, they may be the most interesting team in all of the NFL.
