Colombia have not been in the World Cup since 1998 so this is their chance to try and establish a legacy by having a solid tournament.
They have a number of well-known players including Radamel Falcao who could make it just in time but is still injured, can they perform on the biggest stage.
The Probable Squad of 23:
Goalkeepers - Faryd Mondragon, David Ospina (Likely No.1) and Camilo Vargas
Defenders - Mario Yepes, Luis Amaranto Perea, Pablo Armero, Santiago Arias, Carlos Valdes, Aquivaldo Mosquera and Juan Zuniga
Midfielders - Fredy Guarin, Abel Aguilar, Carlos Sanchez, Macnelly Torres, Aldo Leao Ramirez, Juan Cuadrado, James Rodriguez and Elkin Soto
Forwards - Teofilo Gutierrez, Jackson Martinez, Adrian Ramos, Carlos Bacca and Luis Muriel
Key Player - Fredy Guarin, has proven vital for Inter Milan this season and his all-round ability will be put to the test to lead a team that is regarded 4th in the World, with this also his first World Cup this could be interesting in how he handles the occasion.
Player To Watch - Carlos Bacca, with the uncertainity of Radamel Falcao due to injury, Bacca and Ramos could lead the line but more focus could be put on Bacca, after tearing apart the Belgian League last season and doing the same in Spain and Europe with Sevilla.
The only way is up for Bacca and the World Cup will just excite him further and potentially place him in one of Europe's elite.
The Manager - Jose Pekerman has been in charge since January 2012, establishing the team into a very strong force, through the use of experimenting on a regular basis but got them through with plenty to spare but has ensured to be not experimental in a major competition.
If he can be consistent with the team there is an outside chance they could do well and with a relatively weak group they have a chance to do just that.
