Inter Milan have pulled out of the race to sign Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna on a free transfer at the end of the season.
A number of top European sides are chasing Sagna's signature following news of the Frenchman's failure to agree terms with Arsenal.
Inter Milan were said to be one of several clubs thought to be interested in signing Sagna, however they have now stated they are no longer planning to bring the Arsenal man to the San Siro.
The Italian giants' sporting director Piero Ausilio told the Daily Express: "We exhibited our technical and economic programmes to Sagna but we realised that it was not viable solution."
Sagna is said to be keen on staying in the Premier League as he has enjoyed his seven-year stay in England.
The 31-year-old is looking to sign one last big contract at a Premier League club - with Manchester City said to be his most likely destination.
Chelsea are also keeping close tabs on the former Auxerre right-back.
