This week the WWE reached out to former star Chris Jericho according to reports, but it’s understood that the superstar doesn’t care too much for a return to the ring.
These comments are probably not what the wresting organization wanted to hear, and only time will tell whether or not Chairman Vince McMahon can persuade him to come back.
Jericho hasn’t appeared for the WWE since last July when he left, but he says that he doesn’t feel any animosity towards McMahon or the company.
“I left last July and I've been working pretty much non-stop since then between Fozzy tours and doing the new Fozzy record and writing another book and doing my podcasts and a web series.
There are a lot of projects in the Chris Jericho pantheon as always,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“That's not to say that I won't go back but I have no plans as of right now, just because I have so much other stuff going on that I'm enjoying.”
Jericho last appeared in front of wrestling fans when he battled Curtis Axel for the International Championship last year, with an attack by Ryback following the match leading to his exit from the WWE.
The star is currently busy with several different ventures that keep him extremely occupied. All although he hasn’t flat out said he will not return to the WWE, he has admitted to not caring whether or not he wrestles again.
“You know if I never wrestle again it won't bother me, I don't want the big send-off - I don't want the big farewell match where I'm in the ring crying in front of 70,000 fans because I'm such a hero and my career is done, I don't look at it that way. My career continues to move forward.”
