And so another season's end is imminent and even though we do not yet know which club will lift the Premier League trophy, we have a pretty good idea, so the evaluations will have started already for some managers.
This summer is going to be all about, other than the World Cup in Brazil, of course, Premier League clubs and their transfer plans to build or rebuild on the successes or failures from this campaign. A number of big-money deals are expected to go through for the more spend-happy clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City, but the Financial Fair Play sanctions handed out could mean clubs are forced to make tough decisions when it comes to chopping and changing.
None of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be able to rest on their laurels and some business will have to be done to keep up with the opposition - especially at Old Trafford. There are only four Champions League places available but there are certainly more than four teams capable of having seasons that could land them a place in the hallowed competition and all the riches that come with it.
Transfers in are not the whole story, however, as space will need to be made if new faces are to join, while some stars will just have to be moved on in the name of progress. Tough decisions will need to be made and some of them are unlikely to go down well with fans, at least GMS believe this could be the case for the players they feel need to be cut loose.
That's right, we've had a look at the squads of the top clubs in the Premier League and come to a conclusion where they need to be trimmed so as to grow and improve next term. As ever, we have stuck them into a lovely little slideshow for you to look at and, most likely, ridicule in the comments section - just keep it clean please.
