Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed he will be staying at the Etihad Stadium next season - despite interest from La Liga duo Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Both sides are said to be keen on signing Aguero in the summer as they look to improve their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Real Madrid have reportedly placed Aguero on a two-man striker wish-list along with Liverpool's Luis Suarez - while Barcelona's Lionel Messi has made a public appeal for his fellow countryman to join him at the Camp Nou.

However former Atletico Madrid forward Aguero, who scored 17 goals in 23 league games to help Manchester City win their second Premier League title in the space of three seasons, has stated he is not looking to leave the club.

Aguero, speaking after Manchester City's domestic triumph, said: “I’m so happy. It was an amazing moment to win another title.

“I’ll be back next year even stronger to win more trophies.”

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini will be delighted with Aguero's intent to stay at the club, as the Chilean tactician sees him as an integral member of his squad.
