Sampdoria streaker stopped by smiling steward

Last Sunday's Serie A showdown between Sampdoria and Napoli was halted by a hilarious clash between a bikini-clad streaker and stern steward, but there was only ever going to be one unpopular winner in a light-hearted break from the Genoa clash.

Sampdoria were soundly beaten 5-2 at home by the Azzurri despite one particularly attractive pitch invader decided enough was enough early on, running on to the field with nothing but a bikini and a bright pair of converse for protection.

Her dart on to the Luigi Ferrais field was halted by what looked from a distance like a pint-sized Rafael Benitez, who looked the part in luminous yellow before hoisting the intruder over his shoulder in comical fashion.

Both sets of supporters booed the victory for the man in yellow, who rather unceremoniously carted his nemesis off the field to create a snapshot worth saving.

Napoli emerged from the momentary distraction to claim a comprehensive win on the road, with Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens and Duvan Zapata all on the scoresheet.

With Samp safe in mid-table both sides could afford a smile at their unexpected guest though, a highlight even in one of the most goal-laden clashes of the Serie A season.
