Arsenal are the bookies favourites to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer.

PaddyPower have placed the Gunners as the 6/4 favourites to land the Spanish midfielder, who left the club in the summer of 2011.

The Catalans ace has been targeted by a number of Premier League clubs in recent time and, if reports are to be believed, the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in the player's services.

Reports earlier this month suggested that Manchester United were ready to spend as much as £45 million on the Spanish international. But it now appears that Arsenal are in the driving seat to land the 27-year-old from La Liga.

Fabregas, of course, enjoyed a great stint at Arsenal before leaving for Spain, and Arsenal fans would surely welcome the midfielder back with open arms.

It still remains to be seen, however, as to whether Barcelona are prepared to sell Fabregas in the up coming market, but the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal could step up their interest in the ex-Premier League man in the near future.

Manchester United and Manchester City are just behind Arsenal at 3/1 to land the talented midfielder.
