Millwall are set to release four players this summer after they failed to agree new contracts.

Shane Lowry, Jack Smith, Liam Feeney and Andy Keogh are all set to leave after boss Ian Holloway informed them that their futures lie elsewhere.

Lowry, Feeney and Keogh, all of whom were signed by Kenny Jackett in 2011, enjoyed bright starts to their Millwall careers, however, Holloway believes they are surplus to requirements. Smith, on the other hand, was used more as a utility player, however, he has not featured since Holloway was bought in in January.

Simeon Jackson has also been told that his contract will not be renewed, whilst Stefan Maierhofer and Fede Bessone will also become free agents, however, Millwall will retain the right to extend their contracts past the end of the season.

Holloway is currently discussing terms with David Forde and Lee Martin, both of whom ended the season strongly.

Martin was signed in 2013 by ex-boss Steve Lomas on a free transfer from Ipswich Town and although he had a tough first few months at the  south London club, he was bought back into the side by Holloway and is going to be rewarded for his end-of-season form.

Forde, who recently won the club's Player of the Year award, has been at the Den for six years and although there was interest from Scottish champions, Celtic, Forde clearly feels at home at the Den.

Meanwhile, Liam Trotter, who has been on loan at Bolton, will be joining Dougie Freedman's side permanently, although the deal is yet to be announced.
