Reports today suggest that wanted man Steve Kerr is to meet with the Golden State Warriors hierarchy to discuss filling the NBA franchise's head coaching vacancy.

Kerr, who has also been linked with the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers jobs amongst others in recent weeks, is currently busy fulfilling his current position as TNT analyst.

This puts the 48-year-old in Oklahoma City Tuesday as the network prepares to cover Game Five of the Thunder - LA Clippers playoff series, and according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski the Warriors are on route to the city today in an effort to usurp other teams chasing his services.

Kerr has never coached an NBA side but has experience working in a franchise front office having spent three years as the Phoenix Suns' GM.

It is his title-winning credentials as a player however which is likely to get Warriors fans excited with Kerr having won five NBA titles during his illustrious career.

The revelation that the Warriors hierarchy are taking extreme steps to get their man is likely to force the Knicks should Phil Jackson want to reunite with one of his former players.
