Liverpool have launched their new away kit just three days after suffering heartbreak in the Premier League. The Anfield club missed the opportunity to clinch a first title in 24 years on the final day of the season, but could this yellow number be the kit of champions next season?
Warrior Sports, the official supplier to Liverpool, have made something of a hash of the club’s alternative strips over the past few seasons, but this far more traditional kit represents something of a change to what has become the norm.
Liverpool have long since been associated with the colour yellow and will adopt it once again as they bid to finally end their title dry spell next term. The home strip for the 2014-15 season (in red, of course) was launched in the latter stages of the last campaign, and Liverpool will be hoping it can inspire them to glory.
The yellow strip, as modelled by Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge on its launch, was unveiled by former Liverpool stars Robbie Fowler and Jason McAteer during a live Google Hangout on Wednesday.
