Louis van Gaal is set to become Manchester United's new manager, and the Dutch coach has a lot of work to do at Old Trafford.
His immediate focus may well be on this summer's World Cup, however he - along with chief executive Ed Woodward - must quickly identify their transfer targets.
Fans of Manchester United will be hoping they already have...
Last summer's transfer debacle cannot be repeated - Manchester United must return in 2014/15 or Van Gaal - much like Moyes - could find himself out the door at The Theatre of Dreams.
And, there's no doubt about it, Woodward will also be on his way out.
Manchester United need players, and they need them quickly. Last summer's deadline day purchase of Marouane Fellaini proved a costly one, which is yet to have been repaid.
United, however, have moved quickly this summer. It appears that the Red Devils have already made a bid for Southampton's highly rated teenage full-back Luke Shaw...but they can't stop there.
The World Cup is drawing ever nearer, and United need deals done before then. It's clear to see that Manchester United need as many as five players this summer, so they must sign three of them quickly.
Van Gaal needs to arrive at Carrington with a solid core of players to work with before the start of next season. Manchester United can't afford to start the campaign slowly whilst concentrating on transfer activity.
Shaw - if he's signed - will prove a wonderful player for Manchester United. He could well be the club's No.3 for a decade.
But, United have problems in the middle, too. In defence and in midfield, United are weak, and have to be improved.
Rio Ferdinand has just announced that he will join Nemanja Vidic out of the door at Old Trafford, whilst United have struggled in the middle of the park for a number of years.
The centre of midfield and centre of defence are key areas of the team, and replacements must be identified. Van Gaal needs time to work with his players and his new signings, so deals must be concluded sooner rather than later.
Of course, it's crazy to suggest that United can get all of their transfer business done before the start of next month's major competition, but they could do with securing a couple of names before it begins.
