Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria is the subject of interest for a possible move to Premier League with Arsenal ready to spend big to land the midfielder.

The Gunners are poised to submit a staggering £32million bid to Real Madrid in the coming days for Di Maria, according to Metro. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was interested in signing Di Maria last summer but the 26-year-old declined the prospect of moving out of Santiago Bernabeu and hence Wenger moved for Mesut Ozil, who agreed to join for £42million - smashing the club's transfer record.

But Arsenal will have a fight in their hands as Premier League rivals Manchester City, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are all monitoring the situation and are also keen to sign the Copa del Rey winner.

However Wenger is confident that he can edge out his competitors to the signing of the midfielder. The Frenchman wants to add some firepower in midfield and attack, the kind which his side truly lacked this year,

It is unlikely that the Galacticos would like to part ways with Di Maria without finding a suitable replacement, but Arsenal are confident that a bid over £30million would be enough to tempt them to sell.
