Johnny Manziel may not have been gifted the Draft pick he wanted in his heart of hearts, but the list of celebrities endorsing his skill set must be some consolation.

The latest to wax lyrical over the 21-year-old quarterback's ability with a ball in his hand is none other than Billy Bob Thornton who, according to TMZ, believes that the likes of the Houston Texans are going to live to regret the fact that they overlooked him. Manziel, commonly known as Johnny Football, was only drafted as the 22nd pick in this year’s NFL Draft, and there are those who persist in questioning the hype that surrounds his future in the game.

Make no mistake about it, Thornton is not one. The ‘Bad Santa’ star reportedly told TMZ in Los Angeles that he had been converted from a sceptic to a believer in recent months, and was fully behind the crowd backing Mr. Football to go all the way with the Cleveland Browns.

“I wasn't so big on the Johnny Manziel thing when he was in college," he said.

"But I think in the pros ... I think he's gonna do better than they think."
