This weekend marks the start of that part of the season when things start to get a bit nitty-gritty and decisive.

The sporting world may have just seen Manchester City claim the Premier League title in football, with a few more trophies to come.

But the Aviva Premiership play-offs are the place to be if you are an English club playing rugby union. Unfortunately, only four teams can make it into this hallowed selection or mini tournament every season.

This year, those who have earned their place to be named as the best teams in this country at the moment are Saracens, Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers and Harlequins.

With the prize of lifting the trophy and being crowned Champions of England, for a year at least, I look at who deserves such a right and where games or battles will be won.
