Donald Sterling's wife accuses the NBA of being sexist

The wife of Donald Sterling, the owner who has currently been banned from the NBA is claiming the league is sexist for not allowing her to hold onto the 50% stake she currently has in the Los Angeles Clippers franchise.

Shelly Sterling will continue to battle with the league to keep hold of her shares in the organisation and has recently said in an interview with NBC that she believes the NBA is being sexist.

If the league owners decide that her spouse Donald is no longer fit to own an NBA franchise then Shelly will also have to relinquish her control of the Clippers as well.

Shelly has accused the NBA of sexism and believes that if the owners wife made the racist comments that Donald had, then they would not be forced to sell the team and the league would simply say: "Well, she’s only the wife."

Shelly also doesn't understand why her current husband Donald has continuously dragged NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson into the ongoing racist saga, she said: ""Why would he bring Magic Johnson into the issue about what’s happening now? That’s where I felt pity because he couldn’t get all the dots together. He couldn’t connect the dots."

Adam Silver has apologised on behalf of the National Basketball Association to Magic Johnson after the Clippers owner once again began to rant about the ex-Laker in a recent interview with Anderson Cooper.
