Well it looks like the android revolution is finally here.

With the advances that technology has taken it was only a matter of time until robots were able to perform better than us at sports.

Last night, the Arizona Diamondbacks exhibited just such a robot. The machine itself was created by high schools students and was wheeled out to make the ceremonial first pitch at the Diamondbacks-Nationals game.

The pitch itself is not bad, a little loopy perhaps but certainly nothing on these efforts by Nick Young or Carly Rae Jepsen.

The question now is what sports will the robots attempt next? Is a robot the answer to the Indiana Pacers troubles or will Johnny Manziel be getting sacked by machines in the NFL next season?

Only time will tell, but for now this robot at least is very impressive.
