CM Punk has been absent from the WWE for almost four months now and the reasons for such a surprise departure have been frequently speculated upon by both loyal fans and the wrestling media.
According to recent reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter cited by Wrestlinginc.com, CM Punk was unhappy on the road with the company and also found himself frustrated by bookings, among other things.
The same source further states that he is now perfectly content at home and has not had any contact whatsoever with the WWE for quite some time.
Just how truthful these latest claims really are remains to be seen, with both CM Punk and the WWE hierarchy having given little indication of why he has not appeared on any programming since January's Royal Rumble.
Indeed, Punk was one of the stars of that particular show, arriving first into the ring and lasting for over an hour before unfortunately being eliminated in cruel fashion by the demented figure of Kane.
CM Punk fans will presumably be delighted to hear that the 35-year-old is supposedly now happy, although it is obvious that many still believe that he will make a triumphant return to the industry as part of a typically outlandish WWE storyline.
Such hopes are likely to linger until the situation regarding CM Punk's situation is clarified once and for all, but that may not happen anytime soon.
