The New York Jets have an interesting quarterback situation coming into the new season.
Geno Smith has played a season as Jets play-caller already, has learnt the playbook inside out and is the man that Rex Ryan sees leading the team for years to come. But he's still shaky under centre for the Mean Green.
Then there's Michael Vick, the incredibly experienced man brought in to mentor Smith and ultimately be his back up. But Vick is a former four time Pro-Bowler and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that as soon as Smith starts to make mistakes, the class for Vick to be brought in by fans will be deafening.
Smith is going to start the season, but head coach Ryan says that there is definitely a chance for Vick to become the starter according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Ryan appeared on WFAN radio earlier and said that "Geno Smith is going to be hard to beat out... He knows the offense forward and backwards," but added a caveat that " Mike Vick definitely has a chance to win the job."
It will be interesting to see how the off-season pans out for the Jets, with pre-season going a long way to deciding the depth chart for week one.
