Yohan Blake is the latest big name athlete to confirm his place at this year´s London Anniversary Games.

The Jamaican, who won 100m World Championship gold in 2011, took to Twitter to reveal the news.

"Twitter fam I will be back In London for the Sainsbury´s Anniversary Games on July 20th! See you there!" he said.

Blake finished second in the showpiece event at the Olympics two years ago, finishing behind training partner Usain Bolt, before teaming up with his friend to take gold in the 4X100m relay.

The 24-year-old, given the nickname `The Beast´by Bolt, endured a miserable 2013 - missing almost the whole season through injury. But he is back running now, and will take part in The Bupa Great City Games this weekend, before heading to London for the Games.

His confirmation adds to an already star-studded line-up for the meet. In the 110m hurdles, 2008 Olympic champion Dayron Robles will race against 2012 champion Aries Merritt and World Champion from Moscow, David Oliver.

The highlight of the field events could well be the return of pole vault world record-holder, Renaud Lavillenie. The Frenchman won gold at London 2012, and will be hoping to retain the Anniversary Games title he won last year.

The Games take place at the Horse Guards parade ground on Sunday 20 July.
