Chelsea captain John Terry has reportedly been ‘left furious’ after overhearing a shop worker call him ‘a pig’ and a ‘disgrace’ while he was out shopping with his wife.
Terry has recently signed a new 12 month deal at Stamford Bridge, and was out celebrating with his wife.
He had taken her shopping near their home in Kingston and were in an AllSaints store when the Chelsea captain overheard shop assistant Elisha Ram brand him as a ‘pig’ to one of her
Ram has now been suspended and is in danger of losing her job.
The shop worker told The Sun, "He came in and we said hello. I told my friend he is quite good looking in real life — but he’s a pig."
"I didn’t realise he was right there. He was coming towards me and said, “I don’t appreciate you calling me a pig in front of my wife.”
"I said, “Oh my God,” and I turned into a little child. I said I was really, really sorry. Then I just snapped, got defensive and retaliated, saying, “You’re a disgrace."
Terry has reportedly received a formal letter of apology from Elisha, who made the comments after reading articles suggesting that Terry cheated on his wife back in 2010.
"I wasn’t being horrible, I just said my opinion — I even said he was
quite good looking," she added.
