Shaquille O'Neal's long running feud with former MLB All-Star Jose Canseco ramped up another gear today with Shaq claiming he could knock out the Cuban.

Rumors of a UFC fight between the pair began last year when Shaq and Canseco exchanged some fierce words over Twitter and while the fight has not materialized as yet, the NBA legend is confident he would win any future bout:

"I'm pretty good," Shaq told UFC reporter Ariel Helwani.

"I could probably beat the hell out of Jose Canseco," the former Laker continued.

Shaq is a known mixed martial arts enthusiast and follows the Ultimate Fighting Championship closely. Canseco meanwhile has had one pro fight since retiring from baseball back in 2001 - a defeat against Choi Hong-Man in 2009.

The people in charge of the UFC have so far shown little enthusiasm in putting on such a celebrity-heavy fight, but that hasn't stopped O'Neal envisaging how it would pan out:

"I'll probably knock him out in 42 seconds.

"I need to just play with him a little bit. Give the fans their money's worth and then knock him out."

O'Neal told Helwani that he didn't have any particular "beef" with Conseco, he just simply wanted to beat him up.

Judging by Shaq's stature and obvious strength we have a feeling Conseco won't be responding anytime soon.
