RGIII praises John Wall after playoff defeat

Published 1 Comments

Washington Redskins quarterback, Robert Griffin III has reached out to Washington Wizards guard, John Wall and offered his support after their playoff defeat last night.

The Wizards were bounced from the postseason by the Indiana Pacers, losing 4-2 in the series despite some good play from Wall.

Griffin, speaking through his instagram account said: "Been pumped up for my bro John Wall and the Washington Wizards all season! Hats off to the fans for being there for them #backtheteam."

The quarterback's attendance at games during the Wizards' recent hot streak has been well noted and his support was certainly felt last night as Washington attempted a second half revival.

Unlike the Wizards, Griffin did not make the playoffs with the Redskins last term managing just 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in a season which showed no improvement on his 2012 rookie season.

Meanwhile, Wall enjoyed a breakout year averaging 19 points per game and eight assists in a dynamic backcourt with Bradley Beal which is now considered among the league's best.

Redskins fans will be hoping that the Wizards decent playoff run will inspire RGIII to greatness in 2014.
