4. Good bye #1 seeds

In the NBA the two #1 seeds in both the Eastern and the Western conferences are both still alive, however of the four #1 seeds in the NHL, only one is still alive.

Of the four divisions in the NHL, the four top seeds - Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Anaheim Ducks have failed to live up to the hype.

The Bruins crashed out to the Canadiens and the Penguins lost out to the inspirational New York Rangers while the Avalanche saw their hopes die at the hands of the Minnesota Wild.

The Anaheim Ducks are currently tied 3-3 with the LA Kings and are set for game seven tonight so by tomorrow, there could be no #1 seeds in the NHL left in the play-offs.
