Manchester United are a commercial juggernaut and have over over 35 partners in flogging all sorts of swag and these partnerships can sometimes produce some bizarre results - like this one.
The OId Trafford club's new official microwave meal partner, or something, is Korean firm Ottogi, who sell loads of ready meal curries around the globe and they decided the best way to sell more curry would be to have Manchester United players do some ball skills. That's right, Robin van Persie, Adnan Januzaj and Manchester United Player of the Season David de Gea are roped in to appear in an advert for Korean television.
The three Old Trafford stars don't actually have any interaction with the curries, which look very shiny, and are just doing a few keepy-uppies while the shots cut from player to microwave meal. There's some lovely slow motion action in there too - yes it is used on both the players and the curry.
At the end of the advert, which you can watch above, Van Persie, Januzaj and De Gea put their stamp of approval on the meals, but saying they "love three minutes". In no way can a joke be made about that...
