With Manchester United having parted company with the unsuccessful figure of David Moyes over the Easter period, it has been anticipated for quite some time now that Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal is the next-in-line for the Old Trafford hotseat.

Although his permanent appointment has still not yet been announced, the general consensus appears to be that the Red Devils will make things official this week, after Van Gaal - who is set to take on the role after this summer's World Cup in Brazil - has guided the Netherlands' national team through their potentially tricky friendly against Ecuador on Saturday night.

With Van Gaal's obvious experience as the manager of his country - a position he has held on two separate occasions - and his obvious long-standing connections within Dutch football, it is totally unsurprising that we have seen a steady stream of transfer rumours linking Manchester United with moves for several of Oranje's top talents.

So, with Van Gaal's arrival in the Premier League seemingly not far away, we thought we would take a look at five Netherlands stars who could follow their boss to Old Trafford.
