Manchester City and Tottenham locked in battle for Emmanuel Emenike

Published Add your comment

Manchester City and Tottenham are said to be locked in battle over the signing of Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike according to the Sunday Express.

Reports in Turkey suggest that the two clubs have already made enquiries over the Nigerian striker, with Everton also contacting the Turkish giants regarding a possible move if they fail to hang on to Romelu Lukaku; on loan at Goodison Park from Chelsea.

The striker has previously been linked to the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea during his days at Spartak Moscow, however he opted for a second spell at Fenerbahce at the beginning of the season.

The 27-year-old, who has been named in Nigeria's squad for next month's World Cup in Brazil, scored 12 goals in 28 games for his club this season, alongside nine assists, and it is thought a fee of around £10 million will be needed in order to secure his signature.
