Yesterday's thrilling FA Cup provided a fitting end to what has been a spectacular season of top-flight football involving clubs from the Premier League.

Aaron Ramsey's extra time winner gave Arsenal a 3-2 victory, ending the clubs painful nine-year wait for a trophy, a week after Manchester City pipped Liverpool to the championship in one of the most exciting title races of the Premier League era.

It was perhaps a fitting way to close out the domestic campaign, with the Welshman claiming the all important goal, in a season that for him personally, has been outstanding, despite a long period on the sideline through injury.

Ramsey is one of many players to have flourished this season, proving their doubters wrong and showing they have what it takes to compete at the very top.

GMS takes a look at five players who have done just that, and could stake a claim to be the Premier League's most improved player this season.
