Reports over the weekend revealed that Minnesota Timberwolves' star man, Kevin Love, is angling for a move away from the franchise having grown tired of their lack of success.
With Love's time in the city perhaps coming to an end it looks however that some of his teammates may have been getting tired of him too.
T'Wolves' Spanish star Ricky Rubio has been quoted as questioning his teammates leadership qualities in recent days.
In a recent interview with Basket Americano, the point guard was less than complementary about K-Love's ability to motivate the Timberwolves:
"He is our leader in points and other things but he can't be or he doesn't want to be our "voice" leader.
"Perhaps he shouldn't have been our leader, perhaps Kevin Martin could have been our leader because he had more experience, perhaps I could take a step ahead to be the definitive leader," Rubio explained.
It is unfortunate timing for Rubio's views to be revealed just as Kevin Love looks to have made up his mind to leave the franchise but wherever he ends up (should the Timberwolves find an appropriate trade partner in the coming months) they better hope they have someone with a voice on the court by the sounds of it.
