The Indianapolis Colts raised some eyebrows last week when they signed Erik Swoope, a college basketball player star with Miami.
However, it has now been revealed that last year they seriously considered signing Hafthor Bjornsson who now appears in TV show, Game of Thrones.
Bjornsson, a 6'9", 419 pound former strong man competitor was on the Colts radar during 2013 that owner Jim Irsay tweeted about him.
Irsay said:"Off/Def Lineman,so many 6-3 to 6-7..320-365 lbs/Big,Physical and Nasty! Speaking of size/strength..GM Grig's just might sign "The Icelander""
'The Icelander' as he is nicknamed, now plays the role of Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane in the popular adaptation of George R. R. Martin's novel series.
However the Colts never pulled the trigger on Bjornsson for some reason and instead gave up over 30 sacks on quarterback Andrew Luck in 2013.
Of course teaching Bjornsson to play on an offensive line might have been a difficult task but most NFL teams would surely love to plug up those gaps with a 400 pound monster of a man.
