Has Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer signed himself?

Published Add your comment

The Minnesota Vikings have signed a free agent linebacker. This normally isn't a story, but this time it is. The rookie that the Vikes have brought in is called Mike Zimmer, and he has been signed by Vikings head coach...Mike Zimmer.

So the answer to how many Mike Zimmer's does it take to make an NFL franchise has a new answer, two.

We're pretty sure that the defensive player isn't just the head coach trying to grab a second wage packet but we cannot confirm or deny it until we see the Vikings take the field on week one.

The younger of the Zimmer duo spent preseason with the Jacksonville Jaguars last year, and is amazingly not related to the coach. He did however attend Illinois State, the alma mater of the Vikings’ head coach.

Zimmer will be looking to get himself a spot on the Vikes final 53-man roster but we could be set for a situation where Mike Zimmer will be telling Mike Zimmer that he has been cut by Mike Zimmer. Meta.
