CM Punk was pictured arriving at Heathrow ahead of Monday Night RAW in London at the o2 Arena. But, when Hulk Hogan hosted the event, CM Punk was nowhere to be seen. Why? Well, the picture turned out to be a hoax.
WWE has not seen CM Punk on its roster since the Royal Rumble back in January, with the longest reigning champion of the modern era providing a shock for the business when he informed Vince McMahon of a desire to leave.
It is unclear if CM Punk will ever return to WWE, and his absence has allowed Daniel Bryan to establish himself firmly as the new favourite of the fans. There is, however, still a want for CM Punk to come back, and there are often rumours about him eventually returning to the public gaze.
There was more hype about Punk ahead of WWE stopping in London, with a picture doing the rounds on Twitter that purported to show him touching down in the English capital. It was indeed a picture of CM Punk but, as it turns out, was taken in New York two years ago rather than where the tweet claimed.
As you were, Punk fans.
