Kawhi Leonard was one of the standout players amongst a host of impressive displays for the San Antonio Spurs as they ran out winners in Game One against the OKC Thunder Monday night.

The experienced role player is a fans favorite in San Antonio and drew plaudits after another strong game in which he posted 16 points, five defensive rebounds and three steals.

The cheers were never louder for Leonard than when he took on, and embarrassed the recently crowned NBA MVP, Kevin Durant at the AT&T Center.

As you can see in the video, with 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Leonard shows no fear as he drives at KD, setting him back on his heels before pulling of a crazy spin move in the paint to leave Durant looking lost.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star had just enough time to collect himself and turn to see Leonard rising to push home the shot which gave the Spurs a 95-82 lead at the time.

A lead they would not let slip as Gregg Popovich's team secured a 122-105 win in Game One of the Western Conference Finals series.
