Barcelona have completed the signing of goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen on a five-year contract, according to BBC Sport.
The German goalkeeper will move for an undisclosed fee from German club Borussia Monchengladbach and become Barcelona's No.1, after Victor Valdes confirmed he will be leaving the club and No. 2 'keeper Jose Manuel Pinto not being offered a new contract.
The German international has not been selected by Germany to go the World Cup in Brazil even though he played in every league game for Borussia Monchengladbach this season.
This signing was only made possible after Barcelona appealed a transfer ban which would see them unable to make signings this summer and in the January transfer window. The signing of Ter Stegen comes on the same day as the club appointing Luis Enrique as their new manager and prodigal son Lionel Messi signing a new contract which makes him the highest paid player in the world.
The Catalan club have also recalled Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu from their loan spells with Celta Vigo and Everton respectively.
