GiveMeSport US Report - May 20th

Published 1 Comments

We begin in the NBA, where the Western Conference playoff finals got underway last night with the Oklahoma City Thunder taking on the San Antonio Spurs.

And it was the Spurs who came out on top in Game One, winning out 122-105 with veteran Tim Duncan hitting 27 points to top score for the home team.

The postseason continues in the NHL meanwhile with the New York Rangers extending their series lead against the Montreal Canadiens Monday night.

A 3-1 win on the road means the Rangers have won both of the opening two games.

Over in baseball, the in-form Detroit Tigers suffered a surprise defeat against the Cleveland Indians Monday.

The Tigers lost 5-4 on the road to end a six game winning streak.

And finally in the NFL, the annual owner’s spring league meeting is taking place in Atlanta this week.

Topics up for discussion include the possibility of playoff expansion, and future Super Bowl host cities.
