Standard Liege forward Michy Batshuayi is so desperate to move to Arsenal that he's willing to reject a chance to join Swansea.
Reports in Belgian today claimed Swansea and Standard had agreed a fee to bring Batshuayi to the Liberty Stadium this summer. But the Daily Express reports that Batshuayi is set to reject the Swans' contract offer in an effort to force through a Gunners switch.
The Belgian star helped Standard to the top of the Pro League with 19 goals last term, and his good performances have since seen him mentioned as a potential target for Tottenham and Everton, as well as Arsenal.
Spurs are thought to be no longer in the hunt for his signature, but Batshuayi is willing to bide his time to wait for Arsenal, his first choice destination.
But it's a risky move, as he must wait for Arsene Wenger to firm up his interest in the forward with a bid before he can discuss terms with the north London club.
Arsenal will need to add to their attacking option this summer, with Olivier Giroud the club's only recognised senior striker. Nicklas Bendtner is set to depart and Yaya Sanogo has not demonstrated an ability to lead the line for the Gunners in Giroud's absence yet.
But it remains to been seen whether Wenger thinks Batshuayi can be that man.
