Arsenal eyeing £25m Pedro move

Arsenal are set to rival Liverpool in the race to sign Barcelona forward Pedro, according to The Daily Star

If reports are to be believed, Brendan Rodgers' side are currently the favourites to land the Spanish international this summer - but Arsenal are ready to battle for the player,  who has been rated at around £25 million

Pedro - who struck 16 goals for the Catalans last season - has been named in the provisional  Spanish squad for this summer's World Cup, and he could now be on his way to England at the end of the tournament.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are set to compete in next season's Champions League and both teams appear ready to add to their squads as they go in search of future glory.

It remains to be seen as to which club Pedro would prefer to sign for in the up coming market, but his long term future certainly appears to be up in the air.

If Arsenal manage to bring him to The Emirates then the Spanish ace can help take the strain off Olivier Giroud and Co. in the Gunners' forward line.
